To use the 'Email Mode' in EmotiPad you must have HTML enabled in your mail client.
In Outlook 2002:
Got Outlooks 'Tools / Options' menu and goto the 'Mail Format' section of the screen that appears. Make sure that you are set to send in 'HTML' rather than plain text.
Once the above is done to put images in Outlook 2002 make sure EmotiPad II is in 'Email Mode' (you can select this from a button on the Manager view), and 'drag & drop' the image or smilie into your Email message.
